Community Dialogues: “Wellness Strategy” with Yumi Saito

Join us for a facilitated 90 minute session during which you can engage with peers from diverse backgrounds, learn more about the use of dialogue as an effective method of communication, and practice those skills with your peers. The activities will accentuate and strengthen your understanding of conflict management and their implications for involvement with the community. ----------- About Session: How do you manage your stress in your daily life? With the campus community members, we discuss our strategies for caring for our physical and mental well-being, and you will find your unique way of navigating wellness by the end of the event. ----------- About Speaker: Yumi Saito is enrolled in the Spark M. Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution and the Department of Educational Foundations at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. She teaches multicultural education as a lecturer and is involved in multiple projects, including nuclear abolition and disarmament, to enhance the culture of peace through learning and open-hearted dialogue in local, national, and global communities.
