PACE x ICS: Exploring AI in Business with speaker Sanjiv Nathwani
October 20, 12:00pm - 1:30pmMānoa Campus, Walter Dods, Jr. RISE Center, Level 2
AI is one of the most significant professional and societal transformation events in our lifetimes. The transformation is moving at an unprecedented pace making it difficult to track the impacts it creates and the very many opportunities. While the development and democratization of core technologies (LLMs, RAG, Agents, etc.) has dominated to this point, an explosion of innovation in applying these technologies to real world use cases is also underway. Such "Applied AI" innovation is broadly redefining the roles of the cognitive workforce in enterprises and disrupting traditional professional pathways. At the same time, Applied AI is opening up a vast range of new opportunities for AI native and AI proficient professionals, and a bonanza for entrepreneurs looking to reinvent every aspect of commerce. The presentation will stimulate a dialog on how to think about Applied AI and navigate a path that avoids career threats and creates career and entrepreneurial success.
