International Summer Program in Japan - Open for Applications

The JIGE 2026 Global Citizenship and Capabilities for Society 5.0 Program July 1-11, 2026 is open for applications until 4/16/26. The program is offered by Kansai University, Japan. It is a two-week, tuition-free international program and free of charge for students from partner universities (including UHManoa, UHHilo, KapCC). The program offers expert-led lectures and interactive field visits. Before the on-site component, students will participate in interactive online workshops to connect with fellow participants and prepare for the experience. Students are responsible for obtaining the appropriate visa and covering their travel expenses to and from Japan. Scholarships available.
