8.   Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Being able to get knowledge from notes, videos/lectures in class, and books were all very valuable, as opposed to a course where you are just lectured at constantly. I also liked how we looked at the same issues from multiple viewpoints and it was never apparent what the professors bias was. That helps me know whatever my opinion is it won't be graded unfairly.
Discussion of various models of trade, including Heckscher-Ohlin and Ricardian. The ethical perspectives were also useful for examining the tradeoff between productivity and rights. I liked how the outside reading iterated that productivity can also lead to rights--so it's not a direct tradeoff.
The background knowledge of the professor helped greatly in his teaching ability.
Discussion each other and essays closely related to course materials.
The readings and presentation assignments were most valuable.
I really enjoyed doing the presentation, it gave me a chance to voice myself in class as well as a chance to explore a topic that I was really interested in.
The books and writing assignments were very valuable and informative giving unique perspectives into the topics discussed.
Notes and examples used in class, readings and assignment workload not too great
Discussing ethics and global issues.
I liked the simple, easy-to-understand lectures.
Every lecture was a learning experience.
Straight forward and to the point on his expectations from the students.
The coverage of ethics broadened my insights to different trade and globalization topics
The whole class was great, was nervous about the writing intensive part but that ended up being really interesting and gained a lot of information about trade and globalization!
International wide-view lectures by the International Doctor

9.   Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
Some lectures got kinda boring, butyou can only spice up so much about trade policy.
They all seemed valuable. Individual presentations could have been more structured/in depth?
Class was scheduled too late in the day
Everything in class was valuable.
N/a
None, the assignments were all relevant to class and were doable.
I thought that the problem set was not as valuable since there is no test on those topics or information.
More feedback for assignments welcomed
None
I feel that we should have had more direction in the presentation. I don't think we covered it in depth in class; the only direction I had was from the sample presentations.
none
Attendance. However, I do understand why it is done so I cannot complain too much about it. It is completely reasonable.
Nothing to find at this point...

16.   Other comments:
Great prof, great class.
He is the best professor.
Fair teacher and class
I thought the handouts made class very tedious. I didn't like how the entire powerpoint was distributed with only a few blank spaces. It made it more difficult to be enthusiastic about coming to class.
Overall a great teacher!
Karacaovali was an excellent professor who has good knowledge in his subject and used relevant supplemental material to further help the class learn and relate to the subject matter
Definitely recommend this professor! And hopefully I'll get to take another class with him in the future!
I highly recommend this course to all the students at UH manoa seeking their any professions! The course has been way too beyond my imagination for me to learn useful in my life, and I'm so glad that I got one of the seats in this class.
