10.   Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Gaining an understanding on the importance of trade and how it affect other countries. I feel like I gained a deeper understanding of how global trade works and why countries create trade policies as they do.
There wasn't any aspect that stood out above all. I feel like all aspects of the course supported our overall learning. The handouts for each lecture powerpoint was very helpful for following the concepts.
The aspects that I believed to be most valuable where the videos which helped me visually comprehend what we where learning. Also working in groups was a great way to learn from others.
It was very valuable for the course to explore all views and arguments on a certain topic from all sides. The course didn't just explore a topic from the view of one certain group but made effort to examine debates and topics from all sides giving deeper and more complete insight on a topic.
I never viewed trade in so many different perspectives which was refreshing as well as intriguing to me.
Overall, the course materials were very interesting. I also enjoyed reading the required books for the papers.
very educational on what i would like to study
Learning about the trade policies was extremely valuable. I never really thought much about it until this class! I also like the ethics section!
Aside from the requirements that the class fulfilled, it was interesting to learn about the different trade policies specifically. Though I didn't need the writing intensive requirement, I enjoyed the readings that were assigned for the writing assignments.
Presentations, research and real life case studies
Very interesting subject that can be used outside of school.
international policy and how they were regulated
I like the WI and economic concepts in the beginning and saving presentations for the end of the semester. Allowing students to freely choose their topics of global trade/globalization engages the class and makes the topics discussed in class relevant.
The presentations were a nice touch to the course and were also interesting. However, I wished we could've had a mid-semester check-up to make sure everyone is on track, has their topics and have a general idea of what they're going to do, so that the presentation doesn't sneak up on them.
Numerical explanation of economic theories were easy to follow. Concepts were related to real-life situations.
The reading assignments really helped me understabd the content. The group activities were very helpful!

11.   Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
n/a
Some of the points in the book, especially those about globalization seemed to twist and turn things to so that the author could prove a point. Sometimes given the evidence it was really hard to agree or acknowledge the validity of the arguments made by the author.
NA
I think it is too generous to let the students sign the attendance sheet even if they come in at the end of the class.
lots of reading
NONE!
Nothing comes to mind.
I liked everything.
none
N/A
- Excessive reading, although some of it was very interesting, but we don't always have the time to read everything.
Some readings were a bit longer than needed. Sections could have been sufficient to understand some material.
Sometimes I felt like we spent too much time on one slide. Even more group activities would help!

I thoroughly enjoyed Professor Baybars' class and felt that I took away a lot.
Great teacher and I really learned a lot despite my ever growing "senior-itis", he managed to keep my attention in the concepts we were learning!
