I think that sometimes the videos are unnecessarily long in some parts. For example, when explaining graphs, I don't think it was needed to go into detail and explain the pattern of something using more than four or even five values. Sometimes this even makes it more confusing since it makes me overthink about a simple graph. I think that time in the video lectures would be better spent on explaining more confusing topics that sometimes are not explained as clearly. However, usually these videos explain the topic pretty well, so this is a very nitpicky comment, of course, but I think it could help students learn more efficiently.
He did a really good job in providing videos with examples for our assignments. I think his explanations made it easy because they actually correlated with the work.
The instructor was very generous, and I really appreciate the opportunity to bring up our grade. I'm sure the ones who needed it were very thankful.
This professor is amazing! He makes ECON very easy to understand and the course is fun.
I never met Dr. Karacaovali, but I enjoyed his lecture videos.
Expectations are very clear and the structure of the course is straightforward. I appreciated the asynchronous format.
The provided examples and slides were easy-to-read and easy to follow along.
Thee lectures showing how to do some of the harder problems including graphs, charts, etc was a big help.
Thank you for providing concise videos with many examples, it really helped me understand and also retain topic information.
Even though the class was asynchronous the teacher wanted to get to know us with an assignment and made it very clear that he is there to help and we just need to reach out.
The course was fairly simple to follow I understood most of the topics and it was explained very well.
i appreciated that the lessons were very organized and straight forwards. The worksheets and examples were very helpful in understanding the material even more. It was overall a great course that I would definitely recommend a friend to take who is pursuing a business major.
NO additional comment, I really enjoyed this class.
I really enjoyed the structure of this class. It was a lot easier to absorb the information because the professor made his instructions clear. He's a great teacher!

Class was online and I struggle to learn online. He was a good teacher but didn't really go off the text books.
No.
Based off of the consistency of the course in terms of the length of lectures and weekly emails its clear that Professor Baybars cares about the success of his students even in an online asynchronous setting. That said the lectures at times were redundant, boring, and tedious. I feel like they were sometimes presented in a format that is hard for someone who's only taking ECON as a graduation requirement to follow and I wish there was a little more room for slowing down and simplifying the content.
I like the formatting of the videos, easy to follow along and do the questions or refer back to them.
Great professor, highly educated and responds to emails quickly.
I think that the problem sets were really difficult and didn't mirror the lectures. To complete them I had to refer to the answers intensely. I don't know if that was your intention. I would have hoped that the lectures would have mirrored the problem set questions better because those questions and answers provided answers for the graded questions. I also still have a hard time with the conceptual problems that are often asked. I wished that you would have gone over in greater detail how to answer these questions that need us to think on our own.

It must be difficult teaching fully asynchronous and I think he tries I believe that its not a very intelligent way to structure a class thuough.
It is a shame that the course was asynchronous but your videos were extremely helpful and I can only imagine how fun it would be to be in your class in person.
Though I didn't get to interact with the professor personally, he had very good lectures that were easy to follow along with.
The lectures were very descriptive and I liked that there were practices involved to help understand the lecture.
Professor Baybars was good at posting lectures ahead of time, well actually, he posted all of them from the first week as far as I can tell, so that's definitely very helpful and allowed me to get ahead of lectures whenever time allowed. The workload was fair, nothing to really complain about there. Being asynchronous I didn't really interact with the professor that much, but from the info he gave us about himself and from the lectures and assignments he seemed like a reasonable instructor.
- Asynchronous class was nicely formatted.
- Class wasn't too stressful which was really nice.
- Material was taught well.

I wish he could speak clearly, or more simple terms.

The lectures were very difficult to understand, the voice overs were confusing, and many of the topics we were tested on were not covered in the lecture. This course should be reviewed because it was a very hard to follow class.

I didn't like his accent and how it was completely asynchronous. His accent made material hard to understand.
Lectures gave good information and he was easy to contact if I had any questions.
