Celebrations and Healthy Foods at UHMCC
We love to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions and choose to do it in each child’s special way. Please do not feel obligated to bring something for the class, as we can celebrate special days in other ways than food. However, if you would like to, please remember that we promote healthy eating at school and refrain from giving the children any junk food and sweets during the day. If you would like to bring a treat for your child’s special day (birthdays, last days, holidays, etc.), we ask that you inform us prior to bringing something in and choose a healthy alternative to cake, cupcakes, and candy (we have a list of suggestions). Thank you for your understanding. *Also, please remember, because of allergies, please do not bring peanuts or peanut products to school.
