Please join us at the CIS 720 seminar from 4:30-5:30pm on Monday, 11/15, for a talk by our own Dr. Jennifer Beamer and Stasha Gardasevic (ABD) — “Creating and Curating Your Online Scholarly Identity / Academic Profile.” Jennifer and Stasha will share the basics on how to create and populate an Online Scholarly Identity. They will discuss why it is essential to have an Online Scholarly Identity and the differences in ID and Social Networking Sites, for example, the differences in platforms like Google Scholar, ORCID, ResearchGate, and Academia.edu. They will also share how you can share your work, keeping your author’s rights and your copyright that you may have signed away (and how to take it back)!
