CIS Doctoral Candidate Stasha Gardasevic receives Dan J. Wedemeyer Excellence in Teaching Award

Dear CIS Community,

Please join us in congratulating Stanislava (Stasha) Gardasevic, this year’s recipient of the Dan J. Wedemeyer Excellence in Teaching Award administered by Graduate Division!

This award honors a doctoral student who has demonstrated outstanding teaching skill and concern for student learning. The award is named in honor of the late Emeritus Professor Dan J. Wedemeyer, who served as a mentor and model for excellence in teaching for hundreds of graduate students over the course of his career in the School of Communications and the Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Communication and Information Sciences.

The Wedemeyer Award is fully endowed and will continue to be given out each year by Graduate Division. Please watch the CIS lists for further announcements about nominating students for this honor in future years.

CIS is grateful for the dedication of all of our students engaged in teaching. This year was very competitive and shows the strength of student contributions to teaching and supporting our CIS-affiliated programs.
