The Japan-America Student Conference (JASC) is a professional, student-led initiative that brings 72 competitively-selected delegates from Japan and the U.S. together each year to discuss contemporary issues, make connections, expand academic horizons, and foster diplomacy. All the while, students will hone professional skills and learn from officials on the forefront of global relations. The 2018 Conference will convene in August and travel to four different sites, including Madison, WI; Lexington, VA; Washington D.C.; and Portland, OR. Select critical topics to be discussed in multi-cultural small groups include Mental Health, Environmental Sustainability, Education, Identity, Technology, Work and Family, and Religion and Philosophy.Candidates are not required to have Japanese proficiency or U.S. citizenship to apply, but do need to be enrolled at a U.S. based college or university when submitting an application. The Application Deadline is extended to March 18, 2018. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information, please visit iscdc.org/jasc or e-mail American Executive Committee at email@example.com.
