Mr. Hilson Reidpath, a PhD student of Japanese literature in East Asian Languages & Literatures (EALL), was selected to present at the 12th Next-Generation Global Workshop on “Inequality”, to be held on October 25-26, 2019, at Faculty of Letters, Kyoto University. The workshop hosts provided Mr. Reidpath a travel award to present his paper entitled, “Too Sweet to Crash: Sugar, famine and flight in early 20th century Okinawa.”
