“The Consulate General of Japan held an Award Presentation Ceremony for the 2019 MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology) Japanese Studies Student (Nihongo Nihonbunka Kenshu Ryugakusei) Scholarship on Friday, August 30, 2019. The scholarship recipient, Mr. Joseph Iseri, was one three students selected from the United States to study Japanese language and culture for one year in Japan.
Mr. Joseph Iseri [pictured on the right], an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will study Japanese language and culture at Doshisha University in Kyoto from September, 2019 through August, 2020.”
