HCOP staff and students

Welcome to HCOP (Health Careers Opportunity Program). Our staff is available to provide assistance and student support during regular business hours. Due to COVID-19, our physical offices in QLC 414 are temporarily closed, so drop-in services are currently not available, but staff can be reached via email (amalate@hawaii.edu) or telephone (808-956-4644) to schedule an appointment. All appointments will be conducted via telephone or zoom. Even though our doors are closed, we are here for you!

Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) provides and educational pathway to health careers at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM), Kapiolani Community college (KCC), and Leeward Community College (LCC). High school students explore various health career fields and learn about college entrance requirements and campus life through a summer residental program. College students receive academic advising, individualized counseling and other support services as they pursue and complete their health degree programs.
