Course Description:
This course will examine theoretical perspectives on gender, crime, and the criminal justice system. Students will analyze the intersecting roles played by gender, race, and class in criminal offending, victimization, and institutional responses. Additional topics may include masculinity and crime, women and punishment, female delinquency, gender violence, sex work, and the role of women in the criminal justice system. (Same as WS 328)
