:: Calculus II
08/20/2018 - 12/14/2018
This is a
distance section delivered through the World Wide Web. Majority of learning and practice, and all exams, are computerized and done online with required
MyMathLab access code. New textbook packages at the Leeward CC bookstore include the required access code. Students with existing MyMathLab account
from Briggs, Calculus for Scientists and Engineers can continue access at no additional charge. But new students considering purchasing the textbook
elsewhere must ensure MyMathLab code is included or must purchase access online. Exams must be proctored and taken on campus in approved locations. Prior to first class meeting, check UH email for more details about textbook, access code, and exams.
Prerequisite: C or better in MATH 205 (numbered MATH 241 at UH Manoa and UH West Oahu), or articulated equivalent, within the past two years.
Second course in the calculus sequence. The course extends
differentiation and integration to single-variable inverse
trigonometric, logarithmic, and exponential functions. Topics
include techniques of integration, convergence of improper integrals,
sequences and series, Power and Taylor series representations of
functions, and an introduction to differential equations.
