This course is intended for prospective elementary education majors only.
Course Requirements:
Two REQUIRED online meetings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (HST) on Tuesday 1/8/19 and 2/5/19. Three proctored exams are required on January 28, February 19, and March 4. Prior to first class meeting, check your UH email for more details about the course including textbook and access code. This course is part of the ALP Accelerated learning Program and concurrent registration in MATH 112 (CRN 40141) is required.
Course Prerequisites:
Prereq: Qualified for ENG 100 AND any of the following: "C" or higher in MATH 75X or MATH 82X or equivalent, or acceptable placement:
Course Description:
This course teaches students to communicate and represent mathematical ideas, how to solve problems, and how to reason mathematically. Material covered includes operations and their properties, sets, counting, patterns, and algebra.
