O‘ahu ‘Ike Wai Undergraduate Scholars

‘Ike Wai undergraduate and graduate scholars at their orientation meeting in October 2016.

The O‘ahu ‘Ike Wai Undergraduate Scholars Program provides hands-on, closely mentored, paid research experiences for undergraduate students who are interested in hydrology, data science, geophysics, economics, education research, microbiology and other fields related to the ‘Ike Wai project. Students, especially underrepresented students such as Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Chaminade University, Kapi‘olani Community College, and Honolulu Community College campuses are encouraged to apply. All Scholars receive guidance and help from a mentor who is an ‘Ike Wai faculty member. In addition to conducting research, all Scholars attend monthly meetings on professional development, and present their research results.

  4. Academic reference:
