
Steps to accepting your Financial Aid Offer:

- Check and accept/decline your offer: Accept or decline offer
- Complete/satisfy any necessary requirements and documents: Completing the Loan Process
Financial Aid Offer Checklist
Check your Financial Aid Status
- Log onto MyUH Services.
**Notices/Financial Aid Offer information will NOT be mailed. All communication is sent through MyUH Services.**
- Click on the "Financial Aid" link.
- Thoroughly read Financial Aid Offer Policies.
- Click on the "Student Requirements" link.
- Select appropriate aid year.
- Complete all noted "unsatisfied requirements."
- You do not need to satisfy any requirements that say "Requirement waived/View only." These requirements are just for your reference.
Check/Accept your Financial Aid Offer
Your Financial Aid Offer is valid for 30 days. Anything not accepted within 30 days of the initial Offer is subject to cancellation. Loans, even if Accepted, will not disburse until loan requirements are complete. You may accept the loans now but request in writing to cancel the loan before disbursement each semester.
- Log onto MyUH Services
- Click on the "Financial Aid" link.
- Click on the "Award by Aid Year" link.
- Select the appropriate aid year.
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions on the 4th tab.
- Move to fifth tab, "Accept Award Offer."
- Accept, Decline, or Reduce the offered amount for each award.
- Click on "Accept Full Amount" or "Submit Decision" for suited decision acceptance.
Completing Entrance Interview
- Go to https://studentloans.gov
- Sign in on the Manage My Direct Loan tab.
- Contact customer support for any problems: (800) 557-7394 or install supported web browser, Firefox or MS Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or 7.0).
Completing and Signing the Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Go to https://studentloans.gov
- Sign in on the Manage My Direct Loan tab.
- Contact customer support for any problems: (800) 557-7394 or install supported web browser, Firefox or MS Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or 7.0).
For Parent Plus Loan Applicants
Since the parent is responsible for the repayment of the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan, the parent must follow these steps:
- Go to https://studentloans.gov
- The Parent borrower will be asked to "Sign in" using their FSA ID and password.
- Complete Parent PLUS Application - Click "Request a Direct PLUS Loan"
- On the next page, select loan type "Parent PLUS"
- Complete the application for the PLUS Loan
- Parent borrower will authorize an immediate credit check
- If credit is approved and it is the first time that the parent borrower is seeking the Parent PLUS Loan at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, then the borrower will be directed to complete the Direct Loan Parent PLUS Master Promissory Note, located on https://studentloans.gov
- Click on the link "Complete MPN" and choose "Parent PLUS" to complete an MPN for the loan
For Grad Plus Loan Applicants
If your Financial Award Offer includes a Grad Plus Loan, please go to MyUH Services and accept or decline the entire or a portion of the amount offered. Once you have accepted your Grad PLUS Loan, please complete the following steps:
- Go to https://studentloans.gov
- Complete a Federal Direct Entrance Grad PLUS Interview
- Complete a Grad PLUS Application – Click "Request a Direct PLUS Loan"
- On the next page, select loan type "Graduate PLUS"
- Complete the application for the PLUS Loan
- The Grad PLUS borrower will authorize an immediate credit check
- If credit is approved and it is the first time that the Grad PLUS borrower is seeking the Grad PLUS Loan at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, then the borrower will be directed to complete the Direct Loan Grad PLUS Master Promissory Note, located on https://studentloans.gov
- Click on the link "Complete MPN" and choose "Graduate PLUS" to complete an MPN for the loan.
Check your Refund Status
- Log onto MyUH Services.
- Click on the "View Charges/Make Payment" link.
- Click on the "View My Account (charges and payments) for Each Term" link.
- A refund will show up as "Refund" in the description column. The charge is the amount that is refunded to you.
