Originally from the Philippines, Marvin is a dedicated educator with over 14 years of experience teaching Filipino language and literature across various educational levels. He has held key roles such as Assistant Professor at Isabela State University and Graduate School Professor at Our Lady of the Pillar College, where he mentored MA students, guided thesis writing, and helped shape curriculum development. Marvin holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education and a Master of Arts in Education, both with a major in Filipino. He has also completed the academic requirements (ABD) for the Doctor of Education major in Language Education-Filipino at Isabela State University.

Outside the classroom, Marvin finds inspiration in horror and science fiction films on Netflix, a passion that often inspires his poetry writing. He is multilingual; fluent in Ilokano, Tagalog, Ybanag, and English, and brings with him a strong belief in the power of cross-cultural exchange and meaningful dialogue. Marvin is excited to connect, share ideas, and be part of a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
