The ISS Office will be launching its new student request portal starting this July. It will be using the Kuali Build Forms system, which has already been implemented by other offices throughout the University. This new ISS Request Form will be assembling multiple forms into one so that students may go to one place to access and submit a specific request. To familiarize themselves with Kuali Build, students can go to our page on How to Use Kuali Build Form for ISS Requests.
This new request form removes the need to download PDF applications and submitting via UH filedrop. It cuts down on unnecessary communication between ISS, students and advisors. Requests requiring your academic or program advisor’s signature will automatically route to them, and you will receive real-time notifications at every step of the process. No more wondering where your request stands or sending follow-up emails to ISS. We hope this will greatly increase efficiencies for students and ISS.
In addition, we have a new Forms and Templates page that collects all of the request forms and templates in one central place, with summary information for each. This information provides the purpose of each form or template, a link to access it, and how many business days it normally takes to process it. There is a built-in table to search for specific forms.
During this transition, the current Student Request portal will remain available, but we encourage you to try the new system and share your feedback. Our goal is to iron out any issues before fully moving to the new ISS Request Form at the start of the fall 2025 semester.
