U.S. Embassies and Consulates Suspend Routine Visa Services

On March 20, the U.S. Department of State confirmed that all U.S. Embassies and Consulates are suspending routine visa services. All nonimmigrant and immigrant appointments as of March 20 have been cancelled. If you paid your visa application fee already but could not apply for a visa, it will not be refunded, but is good for one year from date of payment in the country in which it was purchased.

The State Department will continue to review this suspension, but have provided no deadline at this time for lifting it.
