If your Apple device is 5 or more years old, you may want to consider purchasing a new computer. Should your Apple device not meet the system requirements for macOS 10.14, you are strongly encouraged to replace your Apple device with one that does meet the system requirements.
Before upgrading or purchasing a new computer, you should also verify that the existing applications on your Apple device will run on macOS 10.14 or higher; you may have to purchase updated versions of your applications.
