How do I resolve the following error message, “Your user account is in EXPIRED status. Attempting to processing jobs will fail.”?

This error message indicates that your Oracle password has expired. To reset your Oracle password:

  1. Login to Banner 9 with your UH username and password.
  2. Access GUAPSWD Oracle Password Change page.
  3. In the “Oracle Password” box, enter your current Oracle (Banner 8) password. If you are unsure or cannot remember your Oracle password, email banner-reset@lists.hawaii.edu
  4. In the “New Oracle Password” and “Verify Password” boxes, enter a new Oracle password.
  5. Click on “Save.”
  6. Logout of Banner 9.

Oracle Expired

When you return to Banner 9, you will be able to access and process jobs.

Can I change my color scheme?

No, Ellucian (vendor) has confirmed that users are currently not able to choose a personal color scheme in Banner 9 admin pages. While this idea is on posted on their backlog, they do not currently have a scheduled update or future release for this capability.

How long before we get timed out in Banner?

Session timeout is after 30 minutes of inactivity. A 5-minute warning is given prior to expiring a session. If the request to extend the session is not executed within these 5 minutes, you will be required to login again.
