Data Science Workshops & Seminars
The University of Hawaii's Hawaii Data Science Institute (HIDSI) is a system-wide effort to support data science education, collaborative research and partnerships with industry.
HIDSI hosts a variety of data science workshops and seminars throughout the year on topics such as data wrangling, science gateways, R and RStudio, and machine learning and predictive analytics.
HIDSI has collaborated with specialists within the University of Hawaii, Chaminade University, Stanford, Virginia Tech and organizations such as the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), the American Statistical Association - Hawaii Chapter, Women in Data Science (WiDS) and Practice and Experience in Advanced Research Computing (PEARC).
