Students will be able
to:
-Present their group
presentations in a clear, factual, and organized way following teacher's
criteria.
-Meet all requirements
according to teacher's rubric system posted.
-Listen attentively
to their peers' presentation and make comments relevant to the group's

to use for their group presentations

Content:
Students will do their
group presentations. Peers will make comments, ask questions, and give
positive and constructive feedback.
Motivation/Preteach
Teacher will comment
on what she saw while observing the different groups. I will tell students
that I am very eager to see what the students came up with for their group
presentations.
Procedure:
1. Review criteria
and rubric system before beginning presentations to remind students what
I will looking for.
2. Call up first group
presentation.
3. After the group's
presentation, I will invite students to make comments and give constructive
criticism. (What did you like about the group's presentation? Are there
any new words that you learned? What could we add to our "L" column?)
I will also share my comments with the presenting group and the class.
4. Do steps 2&3
for all six groups.
Closing Event:
Call on students to
have them share what they learned from the group presentations. What were
some new things that we learned today? Did we list it on our KWL chart?
Get feedback on how students felt and experienced while working in groups.
Was working in groups effective? Was is easier to accomplish the tasks
working in a group? What were some of the positive things experienced
working in groups? What didn't work?
Assessments:
-Students' presentations
will have met all criteria listed. (Did they clearly state the use of
the ti leaf? Did they draw or show a picture of the product?)
-Teacher will assign
a grade based on criteria met from the rubric chart.
-Students will listen
attentively to the presentations and volunteer facts learned and comments
that are relevant to the discussion. (What was the ti leaf's use that
the group talked about? Could you describe for me what it looked like?)
