Explore the fascinating secrets of the Earth, oceans, atmosphere and space at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology Open House Saturday, October 22, 2011. It’s free and open to the public.

Featured will be interactive demonstrations, videos, laboratory tours, computer animation presentations and high-tech equipment displays. Come and learn about volcanoes, tsunami, planetary exploration, coral reefs, alternative energy and sailing canoes, among many other fascinating subjects.

UH Mānoa faculty, students and staff will share their knowledge and host entertaining and educational hands–on activities that are sure to be fun for the whole family.

The open house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the UH Mānoa campus at the Pacific Ocean Science and Technology, Marine Science and Hawaiʻi Institute of Geophysics Buildings. Parking is available in the lower campus parking structure and in the visitor parking lot behind Kennedy Theatre. Both are accessed from Dole Street.
