In honor of President’s Day and as a tribute to our nation’s leaders, here is a look at visits to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the East-West Center by U.S. presidents and vice-presidents through the years.

There were also visits to the East-West Center by President George H.W. Bush in 1990 to address the Pacific Islands Conference of Leaders, and by President Barack Obama in January, 2012 to view an exhibition on the anthropological work of his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.

Thank you to the UH Archives and the East-West Center for their assistance.
