There will be two public talks in Honolulu featuring Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, April 14 and 15, 2012 at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Stan Sheriff Center.

The first event, for high school and college students titled, Educating the Heart, will be held on April 14 at 1:30 p.m.

The second event, intended for the general public, Advancing Peace through the Power of Aloha, will take place on April 15 at 1:45 p.m.

Tickets

Tickets for both events can be purchased online at the Pillars of Peace Hawaiʻi website starting February 22 at 6 p.m. Beginning February 23, tickets will also be sold at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Stan Sheriff Center box office from 9 a.m. Ticket and event information is available online.

The University of Hawaiʻi System is partnering with Hawaiʻi Community Foundation and other community organizations to make this visit possible, including the East-West Center, Hawaiʻi Association of Independent Schools and the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education.Support is being provided by a lead grant from the Omidyar Ohana Fund.
