The University of Hawaiʻi continues to monitor Tropical Storm Ana and is working closely with state and county officials to anticipate its possible impact on Hawaiʻi. This is the October 16, 2:20 p.m. update with the latest storm information.

UH West Hawaiʻi (Hawaiʻi Island)
Classes and activities at the UH Center, West Hawaiʻi on Hawaiʻi Island are canceled for Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 and the center will be closed.

UH East Hawaiʻi (Hawaiʻi Island)
UH Hilo, Hawaiʻi Community College and North Hawaiʻi Education Center (NHERC) will remain open and classes will meet Friday, with the exception of the Hawaiʻi Community College Motorcycle Training class on Saturday, which is canceled.

However, conditions are unpredictable and should they require other closures, we will inform you through a UH alert.

All Other Campuses
At this stage, all other campuses remain open and classes will be conducted as scheduled. Please visit the UH Emergency website or your campus homepage for updates.
