The Candidate Advisory Council (CAC) of the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents has initiated the recruitment process for four seats on the Board of Regents.
Nominations are now being accepted for a Hawaiʻi County seat (for immediate appointment due to the resignation of Regent Barry Mizuno and for one (1) At Large seat; one (1) City and County of Honolulu seat; and one (1) Kauaʻi County seat for five-year terms, beginning July 1, 2017.
Candidates for the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi County and Kauai County seats must reside in the geographic area that they represent.

Applications for the Hawaiʻi County seat for an interim appointment must be completed and received by CAC by September 30, 2016 but early submission of nominations is encouraged. Applications for the At Large, City and County of Honolulu, and Kauaʻi County seats for five-year appointments will be accepted through but not later than October 28, 2016.
Members of the UH Board of Regents as well as the Candidate Advisory Council, who represent various constituent groups, serve voluntarily and are not paid.
