“Madrigal” from Three Shakespeare Songs, featuring the UH Mānoa Concert Choir led by Miguel Ángel Felipe.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa music and theatre and dance departments performed #Shkspr 400: Choral Settings of Shakespeare’s Words on November 18 at St. Andrew’s Cathedral.

The UH Choir’s annual fall program celebrated the words of William Shakespeare on the 400 year anniversary of his death. The musical tribute included settings from Thomas Morley to Ralph Vaughan Williams, Latin jazz to Radiohead. The singers were joined by members of the theatre and dance department who offered short scenes and readings between musical sets.
