Windward C C Spring Music Concert 2017 flyer

Windward Community College student musical talent and musical guests Hōkū Zuttermeister, Teresa Bright and Mona Joy Lum will be featured in a week of concerts at Palikū Theatre and Hale Aʻo. All performances are FREE and open to the public.

Hanauna Mele Concert Series
Under the direction of Kamuela Kimokeo
May 1, 7 p.m. at the Palikū Theatre


Featuring slack key and ʻukulele students from Windward CC and UH West Oʻahu.

 Special guest artist Hōkū Zuttermeister.

Spring Piano Concert
Under the direction of So Jin Kimura

May 4, 7 p.m. at the Palikū Theatre

Piano students from the Windward CC piano program will perform solos, duets, trios and quartets of favorite classics.

Hawaiian Music Concert
Under the direction of Kaʻala Carmack
May 4, 7 p.m. at the Hale Aʻo (Hawaiian Studies Halau Mele)

Featuring student soloists from the Windward CC voice classes singing traditional Hawaiian mele with Hawaiian instruments accompanying students from the introduction to Hawaiian music class. Special guest artist Teresa Bright.

Vocal Music, Slack Key Guitar and ʻUkulele Concert
Under the direction of Kaʻala Carmack and Ron Loo
Friday, May 5, 7 p.m. at the Palikū Theatre

Featuring student ensembles and soloists in an eclectic program of voice, choir, ʻukulele and slack key guitar. Special guest artist Mona Joy Lum.
