Nearly 150 people packed into Cronies Bar and Grill in September for a chance to mingle with the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo coaches, players and each other.
Student-athletes from the Vulcans volleyball team, baseball team and men’s basketball team met with fans who also got a chance to hear from head coaches Gene Krieger (volleyball), G.E. Coleman (basketball) and Kallen Miyataki (baseball).
“I want to thank the community for coming out and supporting our program,” said Athletic Director Patrick Guillen. “It was a great night to get to know our coaches and for them to interact with each other.”
Plans are in the works for another mixer later in the school year, with coaches and student-athletes from other sports in attendance.
