More than five years ago, Brocke Stepteau arrived on the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus from his hometown of Dallas, Texas. He was an unheralded walk-on, coming to Hawaiʻi sight unseen to follow his dream of playing college basketball.

Since then, he has experienced the highs and lows of the program, from NCAA turmoil to an NCAA tournament win. Motivated by his family, the senior has gone from a freshman walk-on to the senior team captain of the Rainbow Warriors. He’s also discovered his voice off the court during his time in Hawaiʻi with a budding rap career.
