The University of Hawaiʻi SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science) Advisory Committee announced an opportunity for UH system students to attend the 2019 SACNAS—The National Diversity in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) conference for free (a $425 value), scheduled from October 31 to November 2, 2019, at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center.

Pacific Biosciences Research Center Associate Specialist Healani Chang, a SACNAS board member, said, “This is a wonderful opportunity for our UH students to expand their graduate and post-graduate opportunities, as they engage with some of the top STEM professionals from around the nation. We encourage all interested UH undergraduate and graduate students to apply.”

Limited free registrations are available. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Wednesday October 9, 2019, for consideration.

Awardees of this free registration opportunity may be asked to volunteer for a three-hour shift during the conference.
