University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Athletics head coaches are reminding everyone about precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19, and to show aloha during these difficult times.

Head coaches Mike Trapasso (baseball), Charlie Wade (men’s volleyball), Michele Nagamine (women’s soccer) and Bob Coolen (softball) encourage proper hygiene techniques, social distancing and to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and healthcare providers.

“Take care of yourself, take care of your family, and remember we’re all in this together,” Coolen said.

UH Mānoa athletic events are suspended effective immediately.

Head football coach Todd Graham also produced a similar message on behalf of the Rainbow Warrior football program.

“Our spring practice has been canceled, but we know right now the priority is the safety, health and well-being of everyone,” Graham said. “We will be ready this fall, and this too shall end, and we shall prevail victorious as we always do. We encourage you to be safe and healthy and take care of each other.”
