The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa has been ranked as one of the most prettiest colleges in the country, according to Architectural Digest. UH Mānoa was the first named on a list of 53 schools selected out of more than 4,000 nationally. The list noted UH Mānoa historic buildings and scenic campus.
Several UH Mānoa buildings were designed by world-renowned architects Ieoh Ming (IM) Pei and Vladimir Ossipoff. Peiʻs timeless legacy includes his iconic designs of five buildings including Kennedy Theatre and Jefferson Hall. Ossipoff designed Bachman Hall.
There are more than 140 buildings on the 320-acre campus that also features more than 4,000 trees and more than 500 tree species. The UH Mānoa campus is one of 542 ArbNet accredited arboretum worldwide and one of two in Hawaiʻi along with the UH Mānoa Lyon Arboretum in the back of Mānoa valley.
