The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s golf team claimed the 2024 Pacific West Conference Men’s Golf Championship at the Mauna Lani Golf Course on April 17, winning the trophy by a 14-stroke lead.

The Vulcans carried a nine-shot lead, posting rounds of 309-286-303 (+34) to beat Hawaiʻi Pacific University.

Golfer Nicholas Gomez also received an individual award after a stellar performance. Gomez was the most consistent through the tournament, posting three rounds of 73–73–74.

The team will participate in the NCAA West-South Regional Championships in Las Cruces, New Mexico, May 9–11.
