University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s volleyball players Caylen Alexander and Kate Lang received All-Region recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on December 10.

Outside hitter Alexander earned AVCA All-Pacific Region honors, and setter Lang was an All-Region Honorable Mention selection after helping UH capture a fifth straight Big West title and reach the NCAA Tournament for the 31st consecutive season and the 42nd year overall.

Alexander, the Big West Player of the Year, led the NCAA Division I with 611 kills and 676.5 points and earned All-Pacific Region honors. She recorded 15 matches with 20+ kills, 17 double-doubles, and a record seven Big West Offensive Player of the Week awards.

Lang, an honorable mention, ranked sixth nationally with 1,314 assists, averaging 10.51 per set. The Big West Setter of the Year ranks third in UH history with 4,544 career assists and is one of three UH players with more than 4,000 assists and 1,000 digs.

The AVCA All-America Teams will be announced on December 18.
