Two University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Vulcans were named to the 2025 All-PacWest Teams, which were announced on April 16 at the annual Pacific West Conference Championships banquet.
UH Hilo men’s tennis redshirt-sophomore Jaime Paquet was selected as Newcomer of the Year and the All-PacWest Singles First Team after going 14-3. At one point in the season, Paquet had claimed 12 consecutive victories, including a three-set win over PacWest Player of the Year Elias Emilio Walter of Azusa Pacific.
Paquet joined the Vulcans in fall 2023 but was sidelined for all of the 2024 season. He is currently ranked No. 42 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Collegiate Rankings.
On the women’s team, fifth-year senior McKenna Mountain (11-6) was voted to the All-PacWest Singles Team. Mountain was previously selected to the All-PacWest Third Team in 2023.
Mountain started the season on a five match win streak and later appeared at No. 41 in the ITA Rankings.
