University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa shortstop Jordan Donahue was named Big West Player of the Week after a career performance that helped the Rainbow Warriors clinch a spot in the Big West Championship tournament.

Donahue went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored in Sunday’s win over UC San Diego. His grand slam in the third inning broke the game open, and he followed with a solo home run and a double.

Over the weekend, Donahue batted .500 with eight RBIs, two doubles, two stolen bases and helped the Rainbow Warrior baseball team to an error-free night on defense. He also had a key two-run single in Thursday’s series opener.

Donahue’s performance led the Rainbow Warriors on one of the most consequential series in recent history, as the winner of the series would have clinched a spot in the Big West postseason.
