Former University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball libero ʻEleu Choy has been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team in the At-Large Division, becoming just the sixth player in program history to earn the national academic honor.
A two-time Academic All-District selection, Choy holds a master’s degree in civil engineering and earned American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention honors in 2025.
Choy joins an elite group of former Rainbow Warriors recognized for excellence on the court and in the classroom, including Dejan Miladinovic, Costas Theocharidis, Jonas Umlauft, Stijn van Tilburg and Jakob Thelle.
The CSC At-Large category spans more than a dozen NCAA-sponsored sports, including men’s volleyball, beach volleyball, water polo and golf.
Choy is one of just three men’s volleyball players selected among 44 Division I student-athletes across all three Academic All-America teams.
