The 2025 University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s volleyball team is set to begin a new era under first-year head coach Reed Sunahara, with a 29-match schedule to start in late August.
The Vulcans will open their season in Anchorage, Alaska, for the annual Hawaiʻi-Alaska Challenge, followed by two weekends of non-conference play on Oʻahu.
The team’s home opener is scheduled for September 18 against Fresno Pacific, with nine total home matches hosted at Vulcan Gymnasium. The Vulcans will compete in 18 PacWest Conference matches, culminating in the league’s inaugural PacWest Championships postseason tournament in November, hosted by Chaminade University of Honolulu.
“We have a challenging schedule but are looking forward to competing,” Sunahara said. “It’s an exciting time, and I encourage our Vulcans ʻohana to come out strong to support our team.”
