The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s women’s volleyball team was picked to finish first in the Big West preseason poll in its final season in the conference.
The Rainbow Wahine collected 94 points in the Big West preseason coaches’ poll, leading Cal Poly by two points for the top spot. The Rainbow Wahine and Cal Poly each earned five first-place votes, while UC Davis came in third and UC Santa Barbara took fourth with the remaining first-place vote.
UH enters the 2025 season with five straight Big West titles and 14 overall during its 22-year membership. Last fall, the Rainbow Wahine defeated Cal Poly in the championship match of the Big West tournament to secure the program’s latest crown. They also reached the NCAA Tournament for the 31st consecutive year and the 42nd time in program history.
The Rainbow Wahine will open the 2025 season at home in the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic, set for August 29–31 at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
