
University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s volleyball middle blocker Isabella Freeman was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week for October 6–12.
It is the second time this season that the sophomore has received the honor, after earning it in late September.
The Vulcans earned back-to-back wins on October 8 and 9, with Freeman leading the charge in both total blocks and kills on the offensive end. The pair of victories helped UH Hilo improve its record to 13-7 and 3-2 in the PacWest.
Freeman is currently ranked No. 6 for total blocks (93) and No. 21 for blocks per set (1.21) in all of NCAA Division II. As a team, UH Hilo is ranked No. 14 for total blocks (157).
