

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa swimming teams swept the Big West Athlete of the Week awards for the second consecutive week. Karol Ostrowski was named the winner of the men’s award, while Holly Nelson earned the women’s weekly award.
This marked Ostrowski’s second career weekly conference award and the third for the Warriors this season. For the Rainbow Wahine, Nelson earned her second Athlete of the Week award this season and the third for the ʻBows in the 2025–26 season.
UH Mānoa faced BYU in a dual meet on January 3. Ostrowski led the Rainbow Warriors, winning golds in all four events he entered: the 50 free, the 50 back, the 50 fly with a personal best time of 20.91 and a split of 43.68 in the 400 free relay to give the ʻBows a solid lead.
Nelson captured three individual golds in the 50 fly, 100 free and 50 free while earning a silver swimming the anchor lead of the 400 free relay. Her 50 fly time of 24.07 is the fastest time swam in the Big West this year.
