

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s water polo team was voted first in the Big West Preseason Coaches’ Poll, positioning the Rainbow Wahine as early favorites heading into the 2026 season.
The team totaled 45 points and received five first-place votes in the poll with Long Beach State earning a close second with 44 points and two first-place votes. Daisy Logtens, Ema Vernoux and Agatha Weston were also named to the Big West Preseason Coaches Team.
Logtens earned her second consecutive preseason selection following a standout 2025 campaign. She received ACWPC All-America Third Team and All-Big West First Team honors after recording 209 saves and 35 steals, earning Big West Championship MVP honors during a dominant postseason run.
Vernoux, the reigning Big West Freshman of the Year, led the Rainbow Wahine with 78 goals and 98 points in 2025 while earning All-America honorable mention recognition. Weston returns after redshirting last season and previously earned All-Freshman Team honors in 2024.
Led by second-year head coach James Robinson, the defending Big West champions open the 2026 season on January 17, at the Fresno State Polopalooza in Fresno, California.
