Tread Rosenthal

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s volleyball setter Tread Rosenthal was named Big West Setter of the Week for the seventh time in his career after leading the Rainbow Warriors to a pair of wins over Rockhurst University on January 14 and 16.

The honor marks the 14th weekly conference award of Rosenthal’s career and his third this season, including his second setter of the week recognition in 2026.

Rosenthal totaled 81 assists in the two matches, averaging 11.57 assists per set, while adding four aces, six kills, four digs and three blocks. He recorded 44 assists in the opener, followed by 37 assists in the rematch, directing an offense that hit a combined .439, including a season-high .500 in the second match.

UH improved to 7–1 on the season and remains ranked No. 3 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 20 Coaches Poll. The Rainbow Warriors will return to action next week with three road matches at Saint Francis and Penn State.
