A colorful, crispy new snack inspired by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is hitting the shelves.

Hawaiian Chip Company launched Mānoa Mix, an officially licensed UH snack featuring a “rainbow” blend of taro, golden sweet potato, purple sweet potato and kettle-style potato chips.

Locally sourced

The company sources Okinawan purple sweet potatoes from Hawaiʻi Island’s Hāmākua Coast and Kauaʻi, while its orange sweet potatoes are grown on Hawaiʻi Island. Locally grown taro is also used.

“Creating this special UH Mānoa mix felt like a natural fit for us,“ said Jimmy Chan, CEO of Hawaiian Chip Company. “As a proud UH Mānoa graduate, seeing our product hit the shelves is really a full-circle moment.”

The Mānoa Mix will be available at the UH Mānoa Bookstore and football game concession stands, as well as select local and online retailers.
