VNR: UH West Oʻahu launches commencement season for UH 10-campus system

What: The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu’s spring 2022 commencement, held May 7 on campus in Kapolei, launched commencement season for the UH 10-campus system.
The commencement featured two ceremonies: The morning ceremony, with about 150 graduates, started at 9 a.m. for Applied Science, Business Administration, Education, Humanities, and Math, Natural and Health Science candidates. In a first, UH West Oʻahu commencement featured graduates in Cyber Operations and Health Information Management.
The afternoon ceremony, with about 115 graduates, started at 1 p.m. for Creative Media, Public Administration, and Social Sciences candidates.
Who: About 400 students received degrees in spring 2022 (not all of them participated in commencement ceremonies). UH West O‘ahu graduates received their baccalaureate degrees in Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Creative Media, Cybersecurity, Education, Humanities, Natural Science, Public Administration, and Social Sciences.
Graduates also received certificates in various programs including Applied Forensic Anthropology, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Gender Studies, Health Care Administration, Music, Risk Management and Insurance, and Substance Abuse and Addictions Studies.
